About Dirt 3
Dirt 3 is the next in the series of Colin McRae Rally games from Codemasters. In this new version we’re being treated to a brand new racing mode called gymkhana. If you’re not sure what that is exactly, hit YouTube for some Ken Block DC Shoes Gymkhana in HD and be prepared to be totally dumb struck by the driving skills displayed during Ken’s gymkhana display. This is going to be a great new feature of Dirt 3 for sure.
There will be 9 Rally classes WRC, Open rally(Rally America), Super rally 2000, Group B(4WD), Raid, 60s rally, 70s rally, 80s rear wheel drive and 90s. The Non Rally events are Rallycross, Modern Trailblazer, Classic Trailblazer, Landrush trucks, Landrush Buggies and Gymkhana. So loads of content to get stuck into.
Expect to see twice as many tracks as there was in Dirt 2, making the total number if tracks in Dirt 3 somewhere over the 100 mark!
And what about the cars? Dirt 3 promises over 50 cars, looking even better than in Dirt 2!

Dirt 3 Review
We’ve been waiting for Dirt 3 with quite a bit of anticipation, not least because Dirt 2 was already an exceptional game. Having played the game we can say our eager anticipation was totally justified!
We’ve already said that in our opinion, Codemasters are simply the best when it comes to delivering racing games. The evolving EGO game engine has really proved its worth with racing games and continues to provide a solid foundation for fast paced racers.
In comparison to Dirt 2 we can say that Dirt 3 is definately even better looking as it is absolutely stunning. The cars are extremely well modelled and the level of detail is quite superb. The rendering or the maps is also very easy on the eye and really adds depth to the race circuits.
Of course, as driving round these tracks at breakneck speed is going to require snake like reflexs on the steering and on the brakes, you perhaps won’t have tme to enjoy the scenery, unless you have a gaming buddy around and are taking turns and getting the best time!
There are four seasons with unlocks to complete, and the various difficulty levels will mean that progressing through the seasons should not be beyond even the slowest of drivers, while still offering a chellenge for the Dirt pro’s.
